1. What We Collect

We collect and process the following information:

  • Account information — Email address and basic profile data when you sign up (directly or via Google OAuth).
  • Billing information — Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We do not store credit card numbers; all payment data is handled directly by Stripe.
  • Plan data — Your subscription plan, expiration date, and referral code, stored in our database.
  • Synced presets — If you save custom presets, they are stored in our database to sync across your devices.
  • Local storage — The desktop application caches your profile in localStorage for offline use.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service, including authentication and access control.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To sync your presets and settings across devices.
  • To communicate with you about your account, service updates, or support requests.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate AUDIOVIZOR:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database hosting. Your account data and presets are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
  • Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe handles all credit card data under their own privacy policy.
  • Google — OAuth authentication (optional sign-in method). Only your email and basic profile are shared.
  • Vercel — Web application hosting.
  • GitHub — Desktop application distribution via GitHub Releases.

We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

  • Authentication cookies — Supabase sets cookies to maintain your login session on the web application. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function.
  • Local storage (desktop) — The desktop application stores a cached copy of your profile in localStorage for offline access.
  • We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

5. Data Retention

  • Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • If you request account deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days.
  • Payment records may be retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Export — Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Deletion — Request that we delete your personal data and account.
  • Correction — Request correction of inaccurate personal data.

7. Canadian Privacy Law (PIPEDA)

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect personal information only for identified purposes, with your consent, and retain it only as long as necessary. In the event of a data breach that poses a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.

8. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and data portability. Our legal basis for processing your data is contractual necessity (to provide the Service) and legitimate interest (to maintain security and improve the Service). International data transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses through our third-party providers (Supabase and Stripe).

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
